Petanque/Boules 2

GROUP CONVENOR – Richard Ash

We play on Saturday mornings from 11am till 1pm.

Pétanque is a form of Boule played in France and Spain and the object of the game is to get your boule closer to the target ball (Jack) than your opponents. We play in teams of 2 or 3 players at Tregony Social Club, which you will need to join if you wish to use their facilities currently £10 per annum or £5 per annum for over 65s.

We play competitively but in a friendly no-blame way and have a good friendly social aspect to our playing.

Hot and cold as well as alcoholic drinks are available for Tregony social club members.

We are happy for you to come to a Coffee Morning or one main Monthly Meeting and to attend one individual group (with the exception of groups that require pre-booking and ticket purchases) before deciding whether to join St Austell u3a.

Unfortunately, our group is full at present so we are unable to take on new players.
