GROUP CONVENOR – Linda Johnstone
Members have been sharing their memories of Film and plays etc via email, these can be viewed HERE
This group normally meets on the 3rd Monday of the month at 2.00 pm in the Assembly Room, St Austell Arts Centre.
The group is very active and many members have attended outdoor plays over the summer, (including Shakespeare) and performances at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth (including ‘Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’ and ‘Sister Act’, and at the newly refurbished Hall for Cornwall (including ‘Pam Ayres Live’ and ‘White Christmas’). Another very successful event in 2022 was the Murder Mystery evening on board the train at Bodmin Wenford Railway.
We arrange a variety of events, deciding at the monthly meeting which events appeal to a sufficient number of members. Usually one event per month is decided on, but we need to look ahead and plan! Local events at the Arts Centre and the White River Cinema add to the options!
Also, we try to organise an annual ‘celebration’ meal (Covid permitting!), in the Spring.
Enjoy the events and the company of the other u3a Theatre group members. We like to have variety and fun, making friends along the way!”

If you are interested please contact Linda via the contact form below.
We are happy for you to come to a Coffee Morning or one main Monthly Meeting and to attend one individual group (with the exception of groups that require pre-booking and ticket purchases) before deciding whether to join St Austell u3a.
Please always contact the convenor to ensure the session is going ahead.
