Pendower – Nare Head- Veryan- Melinsey Mill

Circular 5.5 miles.

The walk started at Pendower NT car park, then followed the coastal path to Nare Head. The weather was perfect for walking, hazy sun with no wind.

We had an early lunch stop at Nare Head – a wonderful place to sit and gaze out on the flat sea across Veryan Bay.

We then crossed fields and paths to the village of Veryan and continued on to Melinsey Mill for a welcome cuppa, (and, for one walker, a cream tea!).

After our refreshments, we walked the final leg through a wooded valley (where the bluebells and wild garlic were still giving a lovely display), and back to the car park.

It was a shame there weren’t more walkers – they missed a great walk.

Details of some of our previous walks are HERE

(Please wear appropriate footwear)

We are happy for you to come to a Coffee Morning or one main Monthly Meeting and to attend one individual group (with the exception of groups that require pre-booking and ticket purchases) before deciding whether to join St Austell u3a.

Please always contact a group convenor to ensure the session is going ahead
