WALKS (LONG – APPROXIMATELY 6-8 MILES)

GROUP CONVENORS – Maryanne Thomas

This walk is usually on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

12th October 2022 walk.  Trelissick a 4.5 mile walk through lovely autumn woodland down to the Fal River and Roundwood Quay.

The weather was perfect not too hot but interspersed glimpses of the sun.  Halfway along was a lovely view of the Fal and Trelissick estate.  At roundwood quay we managed to make out the ramparts of the Iron Age fort, imagining what it must have been like at that time.

The 3 four legged  participants enjoyed being able to spend most of the time off the lead.  Sue and I finished off the walk with a lovely coffee at the National Trust cafe, thank you Sue.

The walk on 9th November around Truro has been cancelled.

All walks will start at 10:00 from the car park designated by the walk leader and will finish at approximately 14:30.

Please bring refreshments including lunch for those walks where there is no identified café/pub on the route. On the Sunday before the walk Maryanne will email all walking group members confirming the walk, the meeting place and whether there are refreshments on route.

Details of some of our previous walks are HERE
